Call our office to see if your insurance, if not listed here, will cover mental health counseling. We can also refer you to another provider if we aren’t on your insurance panel if that is your wish.
3. Will you file my insurance for me?
Yes, we will call your insurance company to see if we are a provider on their panel, and if we are, we will file your insurance for you. After you meet your deductible (if a deductible is required), you will only pay your co-pay each session.
5. How many sessions will I need?Everyone is different and every problem is different but many people can benefit in 4 to 8 sessions. Other problems are complicated and take a little longer. Pam can discuss this with you at your first session after she has made an assessment. Of course, as with all counseling, there are no guarantees as to outcome or what you will experience even though we work very hard to help you meet your goals.
6. Are sessions confidential?
Yes, our office is protected by HIPAA.
7. How long is a session?
Sessions last for 60 minutes and in most cases, coming to therapy once a week produces the fastest results. Some situations benefit from twice weekly sessions. We will work with your schedule and your situation.
8. Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, Visa and MasterCard.
9. What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?
It is a meta-model of psychotherapy that addresses how we think (Neuro), our language (Linguistic), and our behaviors (Programming). Using NLP, Pam looks for patterns of behavior that prevent you from getting what you want in your life and she works with you to help you change those patterns. The NLP method used to treat trauma is especially powerful.
“When I was in NLP training, I witnessed the effectiveness of the powerful NLP tools used for therapeutic change, and since that time I’ve devoted my professional life to helping people get the changes they want.” —Pam Stowers
